As we head into September, much of the Rec Dept staff will be heading back to school.  This season has been very different, and we appreciate all the members and guests who were kind and supportive at the events that we were able to offer this season. We have big things planned for next season as we celebrate 50 years of Sandy Pines!

If you are interested in working for the Sandy Pines Recreation Department next year please go to the Recreation Department Office, Happy Shack window, equipment rentals window or see a pool monitor for an application.  Please fill out an application and return to the Rec Office (Labor Day weekend if possible).  We are seeking positions for certified lifeguards, general Rec Staff, Happy Shack staff, rentals, and ropes course staff.  We accept applications from anyone age 16 and older (15 if certified lifeguard). Questions or those interested can also email: recreation@sandypines.com.

Labor Tournaments & Fireworks

For Labor Day weekend, we have a full line up of tournament action planned. Check out the online calendar at SandyPines.com/Calendar, flyers at the CC’s , or list of events on the holiday Weekly Flyer for exact details. We had great turnout for many tournaments over the July 4th and we look forward to ending the season with high participation. All registration takes place, onsite, 30 minutes prior to the listed start time.  We celebrate the holiday with fireworks over Lake Monterey Saturday, Sept 5 at dusk.

Fireworks are not really needed for Labor day, the money should be used to repave the roads as they are a mess.
