Political Flags, Stickers and Inappropriate Material

Dear Sandy Pines Valued Members

We have another beautiful season upon us this year at our Happy Place in Sandy Pines. This year is also a national election year.  To carry on our great summer of 2024, we would like to once again communicate our policy for the above items which has not changed since we implemented it in 2022.

With an estimated 35,000 + members, associates and guests in the park for our July 4th celebration this coming week, we want to once again remind members what our mission is at Sandy Pines as we expect another busy weekend.

Our mission is providing a Happy and Safe environment where families and friends create a lifetime of memories.  Members have stopped into my office asking the park’s stance on items such as polarizing political flags, stickers and other inappropriate material.  The park’s stance is this material is not allowed in the park anywhere including, but not limited to golf carts, boats, vehicles, sites and/or flea markets.  The flea market vendors selling this material will be asked to leave the park.  We should not see any inappropriate material sold in the park.  What can you, the members of our blessed park do to help?

As we balance our freedom of speech, we ask our members, associates and guests to be respectful of the items you are flying and displaying in the park.  The park has zero tolerance of vulgar items, inappropriate flags, stickers, etc. being displayed on golf carts, sites, boats, vehicles, or any other spot or location in the park.  If found, members will be asked to remove the item(s).  Failure of removal will result in Conduct fines and violations with the park removing the items.  The park reserves the right to determine what is deemed inappropriate.

We all want Sandy Pines to be a family oriented, safe and happy environment for all to escape to and enjoy! We Thank You for your cooperation in this matter.

God Bless,

Jeff Sweitzer
