2025 Election Reminder

2025 Election Reminder

Dear Sandy Pines Community

It is once again time to have your voices heard.  Tomorrow, Saturday August 16, 2025, is election day at Sandy Pines.  This message normally is given during our Board of Directors meeting the night prior to our election day.  However, with the change in date, time and venue of our board meeting, we wanted to send a reminder to our entire community today.

With respect to our election process, it is dictated by our member approved Bylaws, Article XII. Sections 1-12.  It is safe, secure  and fair.  The election is placed in the hands of our Sandy Pines Membership from voting for your candidates through volunteer Election Commissioners approved by our Board of Directors and volunteer ballot counters approved by our Election Commissioners.  Ballots are securely locked down and not touched until the Election Commission and Ballot Counters start their process.  No one else has access.  In the past, members may have questioned our process which resulted in offering them the opportunity to volunteer and “go see” for themselves.  After volunteering and seeing the process, members have walked away with confidence that our process is safe, secure and fair!  This includes any member(s) who may now be claiming conflicts of interest and/or concerns. Our elections have continued to be fair and secure for over 54 years at Sandy Pines.  You can rest assured that they will continue to be fair and secure for the next 54 years and beyond!

With the above said, this is your reminder to get out and vote!

  • ONE VOTE PER MEMBERSHIP
  • Members must be in Good Standing
  • Absentee Ballots are due Friday August 15, 2025, by close of business 4:00pm at the Administration Office Member Service
  • In person voting starts Saturday, August 16, 2025, 10:00am to 2:00pm, North Shore Building
  • Results to be certified and communicated by the end of the day August 16, 2025

Sandy Pines board, staff and members take our elections seriously.  We look forward to members exercising their right to vote!

God Bless,

Jeff Sweitzer

Park President
