Event Information

Sandy Pines Bottle Returns are Making a Big Difference in Cambodian Villages!

Join Mary as she shares stories and updates from her recent trip, where she supported families in rural Siem Reap through sustainable projects, education, and basic needs. From rice distributions to building homes, constructing water wells, providing school supplies, and distributing solar lights, see how your support is transforming lives.

Assist Mary on June 13th at 7 pm at the North Shore Center on the 2nd floor, and bring your spouse/partner, kids, and neighbors.

It’s not necessary, but feel free to bring a bag of bottle returns.

Quick Message From Mary

Rice Runs support 7 villages and help provide for 37 to 55 families. Each Rice Run includes a 10 kg bag of rice, 2 bottles of soy sauce, 2 bottles of fish sauce, 10 bags of dry noodles, and 5 cans of fish.

I have found many elderly women who suffer from malnutrition, so while I am in Siem Reap, I search for elderly individuals who are in need of clean water and good nutrition.

I have installed a few solar lights on large poles along a street in a village with no electricity to help light the path into the village. I also dedicated one solar light and post to Sandy Pines.

The Countryside School in the Pouk District is located in a village approximately one hour outside of Siem Reap and serves 150 primary school children. Each child receives school supplies, and I bring jump ropes for play time. I also delivered new whiteboards to each of the 8 classrooms.
