About your instructor:
Deb Marett is a professional artist originally from Zeeland. She works in watercolors and oils, and most of the year she focuses on figurative, portraits, and equestrian work. But whenever she travels, her trusty watercolor travel set always finds a place in the luggage, to stop and sketch or paint whenever an opportunity arises. “I find that stopping to study a special place, spend some time with it, and in some way sketch or paint it, imprints it on my mind permanently. Years later when I look at my sketches, I can remember everything about the place, that day, and how it felt to be there. I am transported back, in a way a photo could never do.” It is that experience Deb loves to share with other travelers, to help deepen their memories and sweeten their travels.
