Frequently Asked Questions
No. The payment plan option includes only the dues, capital contributions, cable, special assessments, and related service charges. The payment plan does not include any other fees and charges billed to your account each month. You must add all other charges for services, electric, state unit tax, etc. to the monthly installment amount.
No. A service charge of 1.5% (18% APR) applies after the 25th day of each month on the unpaid balance on your account.
Dividing your current balance by 6 doesn’t take into account quarterly electric and state tax that will be billed and payable in October and January. It also doesn’t take into account anything else that may end up getting billed to your account.
Yes! There is no penalty to pay your balance off early, you’ll actually pay less interest. So feel free to pay ahead or pay it off anytime but just make sure you keep at or below the monthly balances.
No & Yes. There is no charge to pay onsite at Sandy Pines with a credit card. Member Service is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You can also make credit card payments 24 hours/day at Public Safety Services main gate office.
Credit card payments processed online through your Member Web Access or by phone are charged a 3% processing fee. This fee is processed by our bank since online and phone payments are less secure forms of payment. Unfortunately there is no avoiding the fee. However in the event you need to make an immediate payment on your account, this is a good option.
A missed payment or failure to make payments within the payment schedule, will result in the member’s ineligibility of using the installment plan and your remaining balance will be due in full at that time.
If you miss a payment and become 60 days past due, your membership cards will be deactivated and you’ll loose access to the park until your account is paid in full plus the $35 per card reactivation fee. The 60 days begins October 1st. Thus, if you make October’s payment, but miss November’s payment, your account is 60 days past due.
If your account is not paid in full immediately you risk automatic termination of your membership as per the Sandy Pines Bylaws:
D. The Membership By-laws state in Article III, Section 6, that the nonpayment of any annual membership dues, special assessments, or other charges due and/or owing to Sandy Pines by a member within 60 (sixty) days after the same, shall become due and payable, and shall result in automatic termination of the membership and all rights and privileges relating thereto. The terminated member shall not have the right to recover from Sandy Pines any monies.
