“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall”- Oscar Wilde. This quote seems very fitting as the summer seems to have quickly faded into fall. The attire needs too have changed from beachwear to comfy sweatshirts or jackets as you travel around the park or enjoy a cozy campfire. Soon the season will come to a close and we look forward to the future. As the rec dept begins to wrap up the 2020 season, we take time to reflect. We are very thankful for the offerings we were able to provide and hope the next season is one of the best yet! The 50th anniversary is set for next season. We have a great group of members that has been meeting to plan the events that are set to be offered. We are always open for suggestions, support, and volunteers. A seasons worth of events are being planned for 2021, along with the planning support. We will also need as many volunteers as possible to pull off the large scale of events. Please look over the calendar once it is released and see where you are not only going to participate, but also where can you volunteer.

Life Guards

If you are interested in being a lifeguard next year, please plan ahead to get lifeguard certified by May 2021. You can look for those offerings at your local high schools, community ed offerings, MVP sports, YMCA, local community colleges, or search American Red Cross certified instructors. If you have a certification, please check to see when you need to get re-certified prior to expiration. You can become certified at 15 years of age.
