In the last couple years, we've added great new technologies to keep you informed on important park information. In addition to our staples which include the monthly Footprints Magazine and the Weekly Flyer we've updated our website and added many new mediums to keep you informed. We have a new weekly electronic newsletter and Rave Emergency Text Alert System which also allows us to send important park news updates. Please read on for all the ways you can keep up with important park news and updates.
Our website is the backbone of all our communications. Everything we put out to members and our community starts on our website and then works its way out through our monthly Footprints magazine, weekly Member E-News, Weekly Flyer, social media, and broadcast on Sandy Pines Channel 27.1. Due to this fact we have a lot of information on our website which may be difficult to find if you don't know where to look. When in doubt, hit the search button and type in what you seek. It is worth the time it takes to get to know our website as it will help you find information more efficiently in the future. The Members Page is one stop shopping for most any and everything you'll ever be seeking in terms of park news, department updates, Footprints articles, and information.
Quick Link Buttons
At the top of the Activities Page, Members Page, and many other pages we have Quick Link Buttons that rotate regularly with important seasonal information to get you where you need to go as quickly as possible.
Our Department Contacts include a list of all the park departments. Each department has it's own page which includes hours, contact information, associated park services and related department news. Monthly Footprints updates can be found under their corresponding department.
Member News Feed
The Member News Feed is a article/blog feed similar to a Facebook or Social Media Feed. It's a chronological list of park news and updates. Monthly Footprints updates are posted here and are also categorized by department so anything Maintenance related will show up in the news feed on the Maintenance Page, Member Service, Public Safety, etc. We typically keep a few months of updates at any given time so please note the date stamp of any updates to make sure you're looking at the most recent version.
These articles do allow comments and are the best way to ask questions for further follow up by our staff. Please note you won't see your comment immediately after posting as they are required to be reviewed and approved. The reason for this is most website forms receive numerous spam submissions every day and this is our best way to prevent this content from being published.
The Weekly Flyer is distributed between Memorial and Labor Day Weekend. It's sent out electronically on Sundays with our Weekly Member E-News and posted on our website. Print copies are distributed on Mondays and available for pick up at all park offices and most entrance gates. The Weekly Flyer includes a list of each week's events, facility hours and contact information, park news pulled from the Member-E-News, alerts, and announcements.

Sandy Pines Cable Channels
Sandy Pines has four proprietary TV channels that are available on our park channel lineup. Cable Channels 27.1 through 27.4 are programmed to pull information off of our website as soon as its published. Spending five minutes on channel 27.1 will get you the quick rundown of our upcoming events, Weekly Member E-News updates, alerts & cancellations, local weather, and traffic. This is the best way to get a quick rundown of what's going on in the park at any point in time.

Rotates our most recent Board of Directors, Face to Phase, and park informational meetings.
Rotates Sandy Pines sales listings.
Shows our Digital TV Channel Lineup.
Our Member E-News electronic newsletter is sent weekly and features monthly departmental Footprints updates, ongoing park news, alerts, and reminders. During the summer season the electronic Weekly Flyer is also included in the weekly Member E-News. The information from the E-News also automatically published to Sand Pines TV Channel 27.1 under the Park News category.
We synchronize our member database monthly to add new members and updated emails to our e-news mailing list. You can always subscribe, manage your contact details, unsubscribe at SandyPines.com/E-News.
The Footprints Magazine is composed monthly during the main season and every other month in the off season. Electronic copies are sent through our Member E-News, posted on our Facebook Page, and listed on our Footprints Page at SandyPines.com/Footrpints. Our online Footprints archive goes all the way back to 1972.

Although the Weekly Flyer is not displayed on Channel 27.1 in its printed form, all of its elements rotate in as they are pulled in from the website.
Rave Text Alert System
Rave is an emergency text alert system that will automatically notify you in the event of regional and local severe weather events and emergencies. This is why at times you'll receive numerous texts, as they're triggered by the National Weather Service and/or local, regional, and national agencies.
All members are automatically set up to receive emergency and official park alerts. As this is the most reliable way to reach you in the event of an emergency, we do not offer the ability to opt out of these alerts.
Through our Rave platform we have the ability to communicate by text, email, post online, post on SP Channel 27.1, and post on Facebook. This is a great tool for reaching you in the event of an emergency and with important park news.
It is important to note not every alert will be an emergency alert. Most of the alerts we send in house are also posted online at SandyPines.com/Alerts which are automatically broadcast on SP Channel 27.1 under the Alerts & Cancellations, and are posted on our Facebook Page.
How can you make sure you're on the list for these alerts? Our Member Database which you can access through your Member Web Access automatically syncs with the Rave alert system. The best way to make sure you're up to date is to confirm that we have your updated cell phone numbers and email addresses.
SMS Text Opt In
For the past couple years, the Rave SMS Text & Email Alert System has only been available to Members. We are happy to announce that we have a new SMS text-in option for Associate Members, Guests, and Campers. All you have to do is text “SANDYPINES” to 67283. That will opt you into all our alerts & cancellations which will include emergency alerts, recreation updates, event cancellations, pool closures, etc. You can opt out at any time by texting “STOP” to 67283.
We are active on social media and mainly utilize Facebook to increase our reach of communication on events, park news, updates, alerts, and cancellations. All of our Board of Directors and important informational meetings are posted on YouTube.
All of our big park news, updates, events, alerts, and cancellations are posted on Facebook after they are posted on our website. Most of these Facebook posts link back to our website for more information. We only monitor and manage our official Sandy Pines Facebook Page, we do not routinely monitor and engage with many of the privately organized park focused member Facebook Groups.
All of our Board of Directors and important informational meetings are posted on YouTube which are also typically available for view with closed captioning.
We post photos and videos on Instagram and encourage you to tag and share park photos with us.
We rely on Twitter to repost much of the information we share through Facebook.
