To Our Valued Sandy Pines Members and Community:

As you are aware through numerous communications over the last year, Sandy Pines continues to have in place a COVID-19 Emergency Plan and Procedure which meets MIOSHA and MDHHS requirements. Sandy Pines’ leadership continues to work with the Allegan County Health Department (“ACHD”) and MIOSHA reviewing these requirements. Our normal operations processes and procedures are reviewed regularly to protect the health and safety of our workforce and our Sandy Pines and Lake Monterey community. Part of that plan is to communicate accordingly when an exposure or potential exposure has taken place in the workplace or our Sandy Pines and Lake Monterey Community.

Sandy Pines has received communication that a confirmed exposure took place during our Poker Run events on Saturday August 28, 2021. Based on communication from Allegan County Health Department please see below:

  • The exposure taking place during the Poker Run event occurred outside with less than a 15 minute interaction time between members. Although proximity between members may have been within 6 feet, the 15 minute duration time or longer is the measurement used to determine high risk of exposure.
  • If any member is feeling symptomatic, please contact your physician to discuss getting tested or treated.
  • There is no need to quarantine or shut down the park or cancel events per Allegan County Health Department.
  • Allegan County Health Department does continue to recommend washing and sanitizing your hands, receive vaccinations (if you choose to do so) and wear masks indoors for those who are not vaccinated.

If you are feeling ill, please stay home and isolate from our community until you are symptom free. Members, associates, guests and employees are recommended to continue to follow proper hygiene washing hands, sanitizing and vaccinate if you choose in order to stop the spread.

If you have any additional questions please contact Member Service at MemberService@sandypines.com at 616-896-8315 x-100 or Public Safety Office at Security@SandyPines.com at 616.896.9006. I’m also available to help with any questions you may have by email or phone. The above is yet another reminder that COVID-19 remains active and real. We will get through this by working together. Thank you for your grace, patience and understanding as we work together in the best interests of Sandy Pines.

God bless and stay safe!
